Connect your own domain to your deployed applications — in just a few steps.
Using a custom domain gives your app a clean, branded, and production-ready experience for end users. Whether it's a .com
, .dev
, or any other TLD, Dash makes it simple to link your domain.
How it works
Once your application is deployed, you can assign a custom domain from the Dash dashboard.
-
Go to the Domains section in your application.
-
Click Connect domain.
-
Enter your custom domain in the modal.
-
Update the DNS records in your domain provider using the values provided by Dash.
-
Wait for DNS propagation — usually completed within minutes, but it can take up to 24 hours.
Custom Domains is only available on Pro and Custom plans.
DNS Configuration
To complete the setup, Dash provides the required DNS records. You’ll need to copy and paste these into your domain provider’s DNS settings (e.g., Namecheap, Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Hostinger).
Depending on the domain type (root or subdomain), you’ll receive:
-
A record
-
or CNAME record
Each entry includes:
-
Record type
-
Value
Status and verification
Once the records are set, Dash starts the verification process automatically.
You’ll see the following domain status steps:
-
Certification generation: Dash is generating the SSL certificate.
-
Propagation status: DNS changes are being detected.
-
Connected: Your domain is live and serving the application.
Propagation usually completes quickly, but may take up to 24 hours depending on your provider.
Edit or remove a domain
Domains can be edited or removed at any time.
To update:
-
Go to the Domains section of your application.
-
Click Edit domain.
-
Make your changes or remove the current domain.
Editing a domain will trigger a new verification process.
Recommendations
Here are some best practices to keep your configuration smooth and secure:
-
Use a DNS provider that supports quick updates and custom records.
-
HTTPS is enforced by Dash by default.
-
If you use a CDN or proxy (like Cloudflare), make sure it doesn’t interfere with DNS resolution.
